Confesso que após ler este thread ( http://www.enworld.org/showthread.php?t ... ge=2&pp=40 ) , meu cérebro metaforicamente ejaculou, dado o meu desgosto lendário por uma certa NPC de forgotten Realms. Segue o spoiler:


In 1384 DR, Tyr kills Helm in a romantic misunderstanding over the heart of Tymora. Though nothing can be proved, the gods believe that Cyric is somehow involved in Helm's death.

In 1385 DR, With help from Shar, Cyric murders Mystra in Dweomerheart, destroying the plane and Savras, as well as sending Azuth and Velsharoon into the Astral plane.

Magic bursts from the bonds of the Weave. Thousands of mages are driven insane or destroyed, and the very subsatnce of the world becomes mutable beneath the veils of azure fire that dance across the sky.

Cyric is imprisoned on his home plane for 1000 years by Tyr, Lathander, and Sune for his crimes. This event is what is known as the Spellplague

What happened with Helm was this... (My own comments in parenthese)

Siamorphe quarreled with Try as they took different sides in a clash between Tethyr and Calimsan. She removed herself from the House of the Triad and joined Sune's court in Brightwater.

Try sent Helm to plead his case with Sune and she suggested a marriage between Tyr and Tymora to set the celestial planes in balance again. (Pleads what case? Was Siamorphe's presence that vital in the House of the Triad that they needed her back?)

Helm conveys Sune's suggestion to Try and begins to chaperone a chaste courtship between the two.

Strange and fateful misunderstandings lead to the accusation that Helm has stolen Tymora's heart while conveying the gifts and sentiments of Try. A strict interpretation of his own ideals forces Tyr to challenge Helm, and Helm is obliged by his own beliefs to meet the challenge.

They do battle and Tyr kills Helm before coming to his senses. Heartbroken (Why would she be heartbroken? Did she love Helm? Were they good friends?), Tymora accompanies Tyr back to the House of the Triad. Though it can't be proved, the gods sense Cyric's hand in Helm's death. (I would assume that he was orchestrating the misunderstandings that led to the challenge)

As a side note, Ilmater removes his domain to from the House of the Triad to Brightwater, at Sune's invitation. (Sune seems to be consolidating ALOT of power and allies lately here...)

PS: Será que mataram Helm dessa forma ridícula só para acabar com o vigia contra invasões planares em FR e daí justificar a entrada de Eladrins e Tieflings em maior escala?

Depois de morrer 2 vezes ,acho que ela já ganhou certa esperiencia no assunto, logo Mytra volta, nem esquenta.

Existe uma razão forte para Mystra apodrecer e ser esquecida: mudanças mecânicas na 4E

O pior de tudo é agora a tese do Dregoth: Elminster vai virar deus da magia.

E tem outra coisa: eu sei que vocês gostam de FR, mas só eu acho cretiníssima essa "história dos deuses" correndo paralela com a história mortal?

Eu não sou fã de FR, mas já passei da fase de *abominá-lo*. Mas da história divina acima só gostei da morte da dita cuja. Shar & Cyric rules =)

Como é que uma deusa cujo poder só é menor que de AO consegue morrer tantas vezes?

Gente, a Mystra morreu agora para poder ter um tempo a sós com Kelemvor (não lembro como se escreve).

Sobre ela só ser mais fraca que AO... eu li em algum lugar que metade reside em seus escolhidos e em Azuth.

Eu acho então que Azuth assumirá o papel de "Mystra", e no máximo Elminster vira o novo subdeus arcano.

Duas coisas importantes a considerar;

Além de Mystra, Savras dançou e aparentemente Azuth e Velsharoon SE considerarmos que "mandá-los para o plano astral" é uma forma de dizer que eles também foram mortos, pois é neste plano que os cadáveres divinos repousam. Enviar alguém para o plano astral de outra forma não tem grande desafio, considerando que este plano é a encruzilhada de portais.

E pela descrição acima a weave foi destruída. Eu não acredito que simplesmente irão colocar um novo deus da magia com a weave renovada. Tanto pelas mudanças mecânicas como pelo desejo de evitar de novo a sindrome da "reconstrução divina da weave". E aposto que a shadow weave foi pelo ralo também. Com esse esforço em matar três dos deuses da magia mais conhecidos, quais que restam, de acordo com o Magic of Faerun? Shar, Set, Isis, Thoth, Laduguer, Hanali Celanil, Deep Sashelas e Corellon Larethian. O último no 4E se tornará mais feérico, eu li em algum post da Enworld que Ladugeur morreu em combate com outros deuses anões, assim como vários deuses drow:

And in 1383 a bunch of dwarven deities bite it. Gorm, Heala, Laduguer, and Deep Duerra die in battle with each other. The book says that Hammergrim "disperses" into the Astral. To me, that sounds like it breaks off from the Fiendish Planes and is toast.

The following years just sound so interesting! Allusions to Shar twice, the Phaerimm, the Shades, the Seven Sisters, and the Shalarins (whatever they are). If we only jump forward 10 years (to the Year of Blue Fire), it seems that the seven sisters will survive for at least another 40 years, as 1425 is named for them.

All this said, I find Helm's death rather ignoble and lacking, the whole setup with Tyr and Tymora odd, the removal of Mystra and Cyric strange but understandable (esp if Kellemvor is also removed / replaced), and the death of most non-greater deities (and presumably the greater 'distance' between the Prime and the (planes of the) greater deities) thought provoking.

Com esta confusão da spellplague, tinha lido em algum lugar que era preciso um greater deity para manter o seu plano de existência. Com isto, imagino a justificativa de matarem tantos deuses. Os planos que ficam formam um local de refúgio para os demais que se abrigam do greater god que administra.

Olha, enquanto não mexerem em Torm, estou até feliz (Go, Torm, Go!).

Aposto que com a morte de Helm, muitos fiéis dele se tornarão Tormtars, o que provavelmente aumentará seu poder.

No mais, estou um tanto quanto preocupado com tantas mudanças. No entanto, é esperar para ver.

Mystra morre tanto justamente porque o mais forte é sempre o alvo de todo mundo. Nisso, o panteão de FR é feito as sociedades drow...

Eu sinceramente nunca gostei de Midnight (a nova Mystra). A antiga Mystra era bem mais interessante.

Sobre a destruição do Weave, teoricamente isso em nada afeta o Shadow Weave, que existe justamente no vácuo do Weave. Seria mais provável Shar se tornar a nova deusa da magia do que o Shadow Weave deixar de funcionar, mas com certeza o Weave será recriado de alguma forma.



Agora, do meu ponto de vista, essa história Shadow Weave é completamente tosca e sem noção. Gerou implicações e tramas interessantes, admito, mas eu penso que a magia de uma cosmologia devia ser universal e neutra. Eu gostava da idéia que a Mystra original era leal neutra porque a magia não favorece bem ou mal, mas segue princípios e leis próprios, como a física. Nunca entendi como é que uma deusa leal neutra escolhe como sucessora uma criatura neutra boa, parece a maior violação de cosmologia divina...
