Capcom Unity escreveu:Do the MvC3 devs look at MvC2 for ideas (Normals, Specials & Supers) for returning characters who weren't very strong, but were pretty strong in other vs titles, such as Marvel Super Heroes, and Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter?
Example, Shuma Gorath wasn't very tough in MvC2, but was a beast in Marvel Super Heroes, and good in Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter. Do the devs take the time to find out what made em so viable in those titles and try to implement it into Marvel vs Capcom 3? — Shuma_G_GorathSeth Killian: It's not a question of "not understanding" why he was good in a past game — the devs that made him good in older games are many of the same guys that are working on him now. It's also not a question you can really address on a character-by-character basis. You can actually give Shuma more tools in, say, MvC2 than he had in MSH, but he doesn't necessarily become a stronger character because strength is relative to the other characters in the title. That's a long way of saying it's comparing apples to oranges, in some cases, and a lot of those strengths have more to do with the overall game engine and other characters' possibilities than with, "well he had this move and it was good."
Blah blah blah, right? =) Anyway, unlike Jill, Shuma in MvC3 will be immediately recognizable to long-time fans. He definitely has some new brand new juice, and some new tweaks to old tricks, but there's no question he's still the Shuma you remember. His animation also looks really great (for a slimy tentacle demon) but you'll believe that when you see him...
Since Phoenix has a very low health what advice could you give us on how using her?Seth: Don't get hit

Sounds like I'm kidding, but I'm not. She's a beast on offense, but can't take a hit, so yeah. If you're the kind of player that doesn't mind taking a few hits to get into that sweet spot, Phoenix is not really for you. You might give similar advice to someone playing Strider in MvC2 (though she doesn't play like Strider).
Does her healing shield have some defense proprieties, or does it only heal her?Seth: No defensive properties, and it only heals her while an opponent is touching the field. That is to say if you try and activate it and run, you won't heal yourself at all. Healing has to be incorporated into her rush/block strings to have a significant effect.
Can we use Dark Phoenix for unlimited time in the training mode?Seth: Yes.
Can Dark Phoenix tag out? Will she still loose health if she tags out or will she heal her red life like everyone else?Seth: She heals like everybody else when she tags out. When you call Dark Phoenix as an assist, her assist move also gets her "Dark Phoenix" bonus too (e.g. 2 fireballs instead of one).
What does X-Factor do to Dark Phoenix?Seth: X-Factor affects everyone a little differently, but it doesn't give Phoenix a unique additional buff — she's already terrifying enough. Oddly the existing videos haven't really shown off the best bits of what Dark Phoenix is all about, but we'll correct that soon...
Does pre-ordering MvC3 from the Capcom store mean I'll get the game on release day?Snow: I talked to the store manager about this. It's apparently very likely to arrive on release of the game if you picked the free shipping method. However, there is a small chance that it could arrive a bit after release.
